Vanos Rebuild

Rebuilt the Vanos variable valve timing system since the seals had leaked causing a number of problems. Oct 3rd to 4th 2008 @ 132k miles.

Due to extensive modifications on my '91 Legend I can no longer drive her as a daily driver. On Saturday, July 5th, 2003 I purchased a 1999 BMW 328i 5 Speed, Orient Blue with gray leather interior and almost fully loaded under a 2 year CPO which I took delivery of on Saturday July 12, 2003.

These pictures were taken ~1 month after getting my Legend. I installed a set of fog lights and painted the front trim peice, the rest of the trim, minus the door trim, followed shortly after.

JDM/EDM Headlight conversion -- February 2005 - (still in progress)

I decided to convert my headlights from the stock USDM lights to the JDM/EDM headlights. This requires a re-wiring of the headlight system so that they work to to JDM/EDM spec.

This is still a work in progress. I will have details on the USDM->JDM wiring conversion.

This year the show had judged and non-judged fields. There were 10 Legends in the judged field including myself, Alex with his flip-paint job, DaveC with his flaming paint job, Mike with mirror-like paint and Dave Menns with his RARE6SPD all from the Legend forums. There was also TJ was his supercharged Legend, Ed with his bright yellow interior and engine bay and another Legend completely redone for show including gullwing doors and a whole redone interior.

1989 Toyota Camry DX

My 1989 Toyta Camry DX (automatic 4cyl) was my very first car. My parents bought it from Potampkin in Manhatten in August of 1989. It became mine in the summer of 1995 and I drove it until December of 1999 when the engine blew. It survived 4.5 years of college and was a great car.

We kept it for four more years after that as a backup car after swapping the engine with one from a salvage yard and later the transmission. Finally we gave it to charity summer of 2004.
