The ECU is extremely easy to remove. There is a cover that goes on over this unit. 4 nuts remove it, then remove the 4 connects and lift the unit out.

I swapped my stock ECU out at some point to test some things out. Bayou returns your stock chip to you in the above holder. Here is the Bayou chip in it now.
