K6-2/450 -- February 2004 - June 2007

Another new server... After my K6/300 died I temporarily used a Pentium 150, which was in place for a few months before being replaced with a K6-3/450 I purchased from Linstid along with two 18Gb Seagate SCSI drives RAID'ed together. I switched over to RAID since IDE disks were failing at a rate of about 1 every 3 months and I got fed up with it.

Well, the K6-3/450 is gone now. After the power supply failed, taking the memory with it I took my old K6-2/450 in a full AT tower, replaced the remaining IDE disks with two 4.1Gb WD SCSI discs I received from Brent and now that is my new server. I am praying for no more hardware problems.

Click here for some history of the hardware and the problems I have encountered with it.

The old webpage for the old server (K6-3/450) is here.
